Neighbor to neighbor. Heart to heart. Rooted in the Portland community.

SMALL ACTS. REAL WARMTH.

Together, we
keep Portland
warm.

We believe a warmer community starts with caring for one another. We bring comfort and everyday essentials to our neighbors experiencing homelessness.

Our neighbors. Our city. Our shared responsibility.

Warmth, without judgment. Care, from the heart. Community, in action.

01 / OUR STORY

Weathered hands.
Open hearts.

We are neighbors showing up for neighbors.

Our work began in 2001 with a simple purpose: to help people experiencing homelessness in our community. As Weathered Hands Weathered Hearts, we bring people together around that same spirit of practical, personal care.

A pair of dry socks. A warm hat. A bag packed with thoughtfulness. We believe these small things can carry a much bigger message: you matter, and you are not forgotten.

02 / KEEP PORTLAND WARM

More than a care package.
A little human connection.

We focus on simple comforts for people living outside and in shelters across the greater Portland area.

01

Everyday warmth

We gather essentials like new socks, hats, and gloves to help our neighbors face cold, wet Northwest days.

PRACTICAL COMFORT
02

Care, thoughtfully packed

We bring warm clothing and food items together in care packages, with help from volunteers and local supporters.

SMALL THINGS, GIVEN WITH LOVE

Neighbors coming together

Our Christmas Eve tradition brings people together to pack and share supplies with neighbors and local shelters.

THIS IS WHAT COMMUNITY LOOKS LIKE

A little of your time.
A lot of heart.

We know that care grows when we share it. Friends, families, coworkers, and local businesses have all helped turn everyday generosity into something meaningful.

Whether you want to lend your hands, organize support at work, or simply learn more, we would love to hear from you.
